Trevor's Super Birthday Fun
Well my birthday has come and gone This time I got to spent it in DISNEYWORLD! Woo!
Saturday evening after work we had a Halloween Party for me, where we made sure everyone dressed up, which was awesome. I managed to fall asleep pretty quickly though so I missed most of it, but everyone else had fun so that was great.
Nest day yesterday my birthday I of course had to spend it in Magic Kingdom, straight to City Hall to get my Birthday badge and we spent the day pratting about on various rides and annoying people who were working. So it was good fun. I was presented with a Figment photo frame and keyring, because everyone knows Figment is the best purple imagination dragon ever!
We've also formed the Figment Appreciation Group, we don't really do much yet apart from going on the ride and talking about how great he is.
Anyway enough prattling I'm going back to MK today before work to hassle people and then I have a PAC shift for Not so Scary. (go Disneyese!)
Anyway se you guys soon, take care!

Yep well I didn't get the year long post so I'm a bit gutted about that.
Back to the crap fest that is Worthing I guess.
Then again there are far too many Duane Benzies here and not enough Tim, Mike and Brians.
With any luck I'll be able to get back to Space Mountain some how.

Yeah, so I havn't updated here in a while.....
Just been really busy, Halloween is in full swing so I'm working really odd hours, I start half 6 tonight!
The Halloween events are loads of fun to work as you get lots of chances to interact with guests as they've all dressed up and are even happier as the lines are short.
Becks and Pete came over to visit last week for a week and we made it over to Busch Gardens, which is always a huge dissapointment. Apart from the Hippo and Montu, which are great fun. We also went to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios (which aren't as good as Disney despite what they think).
I'm trying to sort out some sort of birthday plan for my birthday, but with late park operating hours and everyone working at different times it's hard to organise anything.
A bird wee'd on me today at Animal Kingdom, I wasn't too impressed.
I'll be back home in 3 weeks and I really don't want to go back, I'm having such a good time out here and met some cool people, even if I do get to go back for the year (I don't find out till mid December) not all of us will make it back, they are trying to sort out more temporary VISAs though so hopefully I'll be able to go back and work Space again. Which is still fun, I got a guest service card yesterday for interacting with guests on unload, so I'm pleased about that.
Anyway I'm rambling now. Hope everyone is having fun the 2 of you that read this.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
So the other day we went to the above mentioned event which has a name so long that by the time you finish saying it Halloween is almost over, (but it's America so they drag it on for as long as possible).
It's a pay extra event and all the regular plebs get kicked out of the park so the lines are short, people dress up and you get to trick or treat around the park and get lots of free sweets. About a gallon of them.
Of course being allowed to dress up meant a quick rush around and panic to find something to wear that managed to fit in with Disney's various guidelines (no blood and family freindly). I went as Arthur Dent as it's easy to do and no one else would have a clue what I was talking about, just like the real Arthur. Amazingly 2 people knew who I was so that made me happy and glad that I didn't go as a pirate like everysingle other person there. Honestly Pirates are the big thing this year.
he park also puts on a Halloween Parade (complete with irritating song) some awesome fireworks and a couple of other things, but for us it was all about how much free sweets we could manage. We got tons of the stuff and we have several bags of it back in our appartment. But actually eating it that's a different matter. It's a Russian Roulette to try and find something that doesn't make you want to spit it out straight away. Something that looks as if it's a sure fire winner makes you spit it out and try and get someone else to try it for a laugh. I'm sure I'll still have some left when I come back I'll try and get someone to eat some of those Hot Tamales things. Yuck.

I-Ride and Horror Nights
Well we got to experience the joys of the I-Ride trolley yesterday. It could also be known as the British Bus or the Chav Coach as it was full of those lovely people who all complete with lobster red peeling skin, bingo wings and horrible $1.99 t-shirts from the Mega Discount Bargin World and WaffleHouse which is painted red, white and blue. They spend their time getting on and off between Ponderosa, Wet and Wild and the English/Irish/Scottish family /pub/thing.
We used it to get to Universal even though it doesn't go all the way there and we had to get a taxi to take us the last bit (the transport is so bad here that most of our money is spent on taxis).
Horror Nights at Universal, the i-ride bus takes a year to get anywhere (mostly because of the overweight Brits getting on and off slowly at every Ponderosa's on International Drive (which is so horribly tacky). We knew we'd have to leave early as well due to work and so on.
We had about a million security checks and then we are let into the park.
The park is pitch dark and so you can't really see a lot. Smoke everywhere as well. Everyknow and again you hear chainsaws buzzing and armies of rednecks start chasing you down with them, bikers drive round on flame spitting motorbikes and funeral processions plod past filled the glass coffin filled with live rats running over the girl inside.
We only made it onto one house Pyschoscareapy which was full of lunatics being mental and jumping out, the theming in it is amazing but it wasn't scary which was a bit dissapointing.
We also made it through the 'scare zones' these are path ways in the park which are filled with actors who jump out at you behind things, one of them with a daft name like 'City Under Seige Zombie Deadtropolis' had numerous zombies stalking you through a destroyed city, which was good fun.
Will need to go back again and actually see the event properly as we were only there for an hour and 10 minutes. Though it was good fun for the short period of time we were there.
More rantings and ravings later!

Howdy Folks
So work's going fine and dandy, so is the living experience, television and food? That's another story altogether.
America really is a land of excess and waste, you can't really comprehend how daft this is until you start living here.
Adverts on television are either for food, law firms, or some amazing pill supplement normally along the lines of 'eat all these fruit and vegetables or eat this one pill to get the same benefit' and then a little disclaimer in the corner saying 'not to be used as a substitute for eating vegetables'
The fact that fruit and vegetables are a lot more expensive then anything else in the store is worrying. It's difficult to actually find anything useful for anyone who doesn't want to turn into a fridge. Ready made salad? yep you can find it in gallon servings, which only last a day untill they stat decomposing. Apples so perfect looking on the outside yet taste of absolute crap? Yep they do that as well.
Meals for 98 cents? Yep, I can buy several unhealthy meals for the same price as a bloody apple.
Still at least we can sit and watch marathons of Dr Phil and watch white trash hit each other and swear. Actually it doesn't need to be Dr Phil anyshow, anytime has that on it.

Howdy Folks, just a quick update as to what's going on!
Been training for Space which is a lot of fun, I got to walk the track for it which was great.
I've had lots of stupidly early starts. Like being at Space Mountain at 6am, which means waking up at quater past 4. Which is a lot of fun.
I'm still alive which is a good thing, and still not worked out yet how to get off site easily so I can visit Universal and Seaworld as the buses at treehouses really are super crap!
Anyway not really got more to talk about, or show. Lot's been going on but I don't know if I'm able to talk about it or not I don't want to spoil the magic for the kidy-winks.
Anyway it's 3:50pm so I really should be getting out to Magic Kingdom for some fun on rides!
